Dog owners - advice please!
So we’ve had Callie for only a month and tonight she started limping. We had a hard run this morning and she had a rambunctious dog park visit this evening. She didn’t limp during or after either and I even took her own a quick evening walk around the block and didn’t see any sign of limping but after laying in her dog bed later this night she got up and limped into the...

So much to do today and I’m miserable with allergies. Currently pushing myself to work through the allergy fog. I can feel my heart beat in my face - I’m so congested everything is throbbing.
“Callie - do you want to go to the park?”

I’m doing it this round. I’m so excited I could pee myself.
And then I met a StL Rams player
This trip to St. Louis has been busy x 3. Meetings for days. Working from home means zero face to face meetings so I’m making up for them in the 3 days I’m back in the office. Yesterday, I had meetings from 8:30-4:30 straight. At 4:30 I headed to a much deserved (I think very highly of myself) happy hour. I’m pretty psyched about work right now, I’m getting some big...
Today so far...
Woke up at 4:15 am. Drove to St. Louis office. Consumed TWO 5 Hour Energies and a Snickers bar. Fully expecting to crash by 1 pm.

Me: Hey - what's up? I heard you just had an earthquake.
Erin: Huh? What? An earthquake? Wait, when?
Me: Just now.
Erin: Oh, that's funny. Right before you called I felt like I was shaking but I thought I was just dehydrated or something.
Erin: Good to know it was an earthquake and I'm not crazy or going to faint.
Erin: Yay, I felt an earthquake!
Callie does not like running in the rain.
Thank God. Got all the running gear on and we were out the door this morning. As soon as we stepped out of the apartment complex she stopped, looked around at the rain, turned heel and sat facing the entrance to the apartment. She looked up at me with a “fuck this” look and we headed back in side. Looks like someone is skipping lunch and going on a run instead.

Because I’d love to start a bakery/ice cream parlor that delivers cookies, cupcakes, or ice cream any time of the night.
I'm having one of those moments
Where your life is rolling along just fine and then suddenly it changes course just slightly, picks up the pace, and you feel completely unprepared. I’m having problems keeping up with myself, if that makes any sense.

Scene 1: Target buying 6 Tide pens. Woman behind me asks, “Excuse me, but do those really work?” What I say in my head: Yeah lady, I love buying mass quantities of a product I know doesn’t work. What I actually say: Oh yeah, they work great, I love them. Scene 2: Walking Callie and a woman and her ankle-nipper dog are approaching from up ahead. Callie is pulling on the leash...
Live and learn - first time dog owner mistakes
Last night Mark and I went out with friends. Since we left at 8:30pm and Callie is super duper house trained we decided to leave her out instead of putting her in the kennel. I felt bad leaving her in her kennel for so long - we don’t usually put her to bed until 10pm. Well…… that was a mistake. Mark and I came home at 1am and I glanced over and saw Callie sleeping in her bed....
Are you sick of my dog yet? Yeah? Too bad because…. CALLIE PLAYED FETCH WITH ME!! What you are seeing in the above video is that last 15 (poorly lit) seconds of a good 50 second play session where Callie actually acted interested in her toys and me. She chased a tennis ball around the apartment and pounced on it like an expert hunter. I realize it looks like I’m taking away her...
